Why I made the switch to REAL Brokerage

I've worked at a few different brokerages over the years. Some local, some international. All of them taught me something, and I'm genuinely grateful for that. But at some point I started asking myself whether the model I was in was actually built for the kind of business I wanted to run. Spoiler: it wasn't.

So I did what I do. I got nosy. I talked to agents I respect, poked around at what was actually out there, and got honest with myself about what I needed: real creative freedom, technology that doesn't make me want to throw my laptop, leadership that's accessible, and a culture where "collaborative" isn't just a bullet point on a recruiting page.

REAL kept coming up. And the more I looked, the more it made sense.

Their motto is Work Hard and Be Kind. Which, honestly, I could have written myself. It's not a tagline, it's just how people actually show up here. Agents helping agents, no weird competitive energy, genuine investment in each other's success. The leadership runs this place like a modern tech company, with tools and infrastructure that make my job easier and my clients' experience better.

Joining REAL wasn't a difficult decision once I let myself make it. It was just the right one.

And here's the other thing: one of my favorite parts of this business has become supporting other agents. In my first five years I closed over 100 transactions, which means I also made a lot of mistakes and learned from a lot of people who were generous enough to share what they knew. I want to be that for someone else. Helping agents get clear on their brand, lean into their strengths, and build something that actually feels like them? That's genuinely fun for me.

If you're at a brokerage that's fine but not quite right, you're not imagining it. About one in ten agents switched brokerages last year, and for active producers that number climbs to 14% (Mike DelPrete, 2024 Brokerage Churn Analysis). People are looking.

If you're curious what makes REAL different, or just want to talk through whether it might be a fit, I'm easy to reach and I love this conversation.
